I desire the wood of allabair and argatbran, between fire and wall
I desire the three lean boars.
The basic move I can take from a contrast with Macbeth is one of distance. Macbeth is much closer to having to commit his crime. The moment is near at hand.
The poem here is further away. The act itself is not fully drawn or decided. More distant and fluid state.
Time -scale alters the perspective.
Focus on the future has a diffrent sense of what is imediate and urgent. Desire is a luxury that can still be afforded and can be alotted more than a brief moment in time that has to be snatched away in the next moment.
Here it needs to be indulged.
It’s a movement further back in time and more fully into the future.
