What Role Terror?

Becoming a different Kind of Thing?

I am wondering if fear plays a wider theoretical role in medieval thought in relation to biological adaption and the role of psychology as the cause for such biological  alteration?

Becoming a different Kind of Thing?

I think the last post from an old Norse text would seem to infer that the writer may have thought that birds developed feathers due to similar environmental factors (protection against the elements) and the swiftness of squirrels, monkeys and wild men as also resulting from shared enviromental factors.

Can I find any non-human descriptions of fear and flight as the primary cause for biological adaption in medieval thought?
