Note

I am rather caught up at the moment in looking at what is socially determined here and looking at one aspect of the subject related to death.

It is not the only factor. I am not completely culturally removed from the subject, second sight is a part of my culture and it’s life.

It is a means of dealing with the complexity we find ourselves in and a means of coping with the emotional challenges of being within a complex enviroment.

Turn for a moment to see how the emotional landscape was described and drawn by historical communities that identified themselves as being in possession of such vision and how heightened emotional states were viewed as having the power to reach out and shatter the physical fabric of the world.

Use the standard educational tool of a pre-literate age, lacking formal educational structures; the story.
