Mad bus ride last night in the cold to the vaccine centre. Catting stuff, while chatting, and trying to block out the drunk women singing down the phone to her friend, texts flying in, altered last minute travel plans.

Just announced restrictions, all somewhat up in the air.

Dyslexic driver, so travel in two cars (person with a non-dyslexic sense of direction in front.) They are going to have to travel from Berlin to Dublin then to Belfast (if they can). Rather than Berlin → Birmingham→ Belfast.

Filing the flask today with an old malt.

It is difficult to let go. But each thing has its moment, burns brightly and then it is gone.

No name, but its an overwhelming feeling of boredom, much more related to language and higher emotion.

Its easy to think of them as separate things. Quite a distinct sense of difference, scan impulse, it will leap on anything that moves, no discrimination and just sends an overwhelming impulse to act, move to the shiny thing.

I would have that down as an older part of an evolved system. But still apart of a system. To act impulse, descriptive term I would use is its hungry, or it wants to eat.

I let the cat out. Then five minutes later, sit on the step, dark no wind.

Why the noise?

Ten seconds later, bottom arrow, fox comes into view and heads for the dot (the gate).

Silent, does not pause (female if she has had a litter of cubs beneath the shed, she generally pauses, she will also move much closer too me).

Cat appears 10 seconds later, tracking the fox, from a distance for a few minutes, pauses beside me, heads back in doors.

What would the end of the day be with out saying something I cant a. make sense of b. seems like nonsense and c. feels embarrassing to write?

curve and circle, in reality a Δ in terms of movement of birds but a much larger space. Visual spatial sense.

Thinking about George Hickeys (not got the definition yet) Object in first sight/ object in second sight.

Its a ‘species of vision’ that is being referenced, but I am finding it difficult to make a distinction with ‘species of sound’ particular in to ‘second sight’ (of the object).

I can note a watching a light moving in the night sky a few years ago.

Far more complex environment, the dots are sounds, two different rhythms (moving). Retrospectively Identified from a range of other sounds, as these are the two that are causing all movement to cease.

I can map the actual room with my eyes shut.

But, every time when I think about these shapes, its always the same.

Three dimensional, or more complex. Distinct from the actual map, that gives an exact sense of the space.

But they are always complex 3d shapes. Pervious post, cited Mark Lawson using the term ‘tongue twister’, I can see a tangled 3d shape in the verse, when I read it its what I see. A highly entangled 3.d shape.

But it is always and repeatedly ‘a space’ which you can move in.

Thinking in terms of sound, but the relationship with vision ( I am presuming where the abstract sense comes from).

But really no idea.

Its just a thing and its consistently a thing.

A thing at the moment I can’t make sense of although it seems to be occupying thought in relation to the entanglement or lack of understanding in regard to relationship/ differences, between sound/ vision.

So I cheated a moment ago and skipped to the end of the book I will read when I return.

The processing of neural codes is generally seen as a series of linear steps- like a line of dominoes falling one after another, much as a reflex………….

I was thinking of this in less scientific terms, (=(o·o)= the memory of an event) freezing on the bus on the way to the vaccine centre. Which is why it attracted my attention.

It’s still working.

Focusing on sets of sensory and processing neurons without linking these networks to the behaviour of the animal misses the point of all that processing. ‘Action potentials are potentials that produce actions……….

Seems a good thought to start with or it matches an issue both with thought about the subject and developing a notation that makes sense (to myself), I don’t have to decipher, as I can see where they come from, the living world around me.

Although not really translatable, I think.

Helps to keep things in mind and note at speed.

Is that cup of tea and computer a generic philosophical descriptive label, indicating a subject?

Or is it just chance I have come across exactly the same description twice? I did not check to see if it was referenced or had a history flagged.

Call that a ‘mirror neuron’, (among other things). I’m deep in ancient philosophy, leading to a history of the eyeball, add, history of the brain on to that.

I have a history of the brain (written by a fruit fly scientists), not read it yet. So add that, see where the history of both things converge, reading wise. Saving this text for a rainy day, its meant to be rather good, judging by the little I have read, distinct sense of humour. Looking forward to reading it.

Mapped were to go with the eye. Now got to do the same with the brain and thinking about its history, that will probable include the heart I suspect.

All I need is a history of the spine (why do birds do that twitchy thing).

Mirror neuron, something of an argument. So hypothesis. 

History of the eyeball, lead as far as the late 17th century, so this takes me further along the road.

20th century philosophy and the history of movement and drama.
